R34 Gt Sedan - Engine & Gearbox Issues

My completely stock R34 sedan seems to have developed an intermittent issue with the gearbox and/or engine management. From time to time, maybe once a month, one of the lights will come on; If the gearbox light comes on, I'll be stuck in 3rd, and if the engine light comes on, the engine starts to miss. Both issues are rectified as soon as I turn the car off and on again.

Is this a common issue, and does anyone know of possible causes or solutions?

Hi, Access your computor, The plug is under the dash on the drivers side, You can buy a cable and the software to access the computer on ya R34, Have a look on this site you will find what you need, Good luck Jamind
