I'm looking into selling my car. Below is information on it.

1988 Mazda Savanna RX-7 GT-X (Turbo)

5 Speed Manual with very good condition gearbox. Very tight and nice to drive.

Recently imported, First Australian owner.

Rego until March 2005

Has Electric Windows, Mirrors, all the usual standard features. Air conditioning, heating, fans, etc all work perfectly. Even has original stereo in place still.

Just serviced with Penrite HPR40 oil, Ryco filter, NGK B8EGV and B9EGV Plugs

New Battery

New door locks and extra keys

Engine Bay

13B Turbo, Original, Has not been rebuilt.

Cat back exhaust (Unknown size but larger than stock) with mufflers.

Knight Sports Fuel Cut Defender

Greddy Turbo Timer

Front strut top brace

Brand new Rotary shape Oil Cap

Exterior:

Gunmetal paint, would clean up nice with a good detail however I haven't had the chance to give it one myself. Can be arranged before purchase. Paint has some clear coat peel lines (minor)

Has quite a few shipping damage dings which would be easily repaired. Small scrape on front bumper. Dent in rear quarter panel (see pictures.) There's also a scrape on the bit between the doors and the hatch on the passengers side which occured in shipping. Easily repaired by mobile touchup guy, or touch up paint.

Series 5 JDM tail lights

16" Speedline wheels, and also will come supplied with 15" lightweight 2 piece rims which are great for trackwork.

Lowered springs (see in back of car in pictures - front suspension in pictures is stock)

Front struts are factory/stock but will supply the ones with the lowered springs also (these were changed to pass engineering easily when registering.)

Rear bumper is sagging underneath. Not overly noticable, but I'm an honest person I mention everything :D

Interior:

Completly unmolested plastics and trim throughout, except for a chunk out of the drivers seat, side, top half on the door side.

HKS Boost Gauge

HKS Gauges x3 In glovebox (Temp, Temp, Oil Pressure) These need to be re-wired.

Momo steering wheel

GREX Shift Knob

Now for the pictures. Some of these are a couple of months old. I have more available on request for serious people only.

    • I might just check it out.. A Q among all those skylines.. lol
    • Time will tell, they're doing all the admin stuff at the moment. I've submitted all the required details, photos, etc.   I was under the impression that DC coupling is the best approach, i.e.: Solar Array -> Battery Invertor -> Battery  Where as AC Coupling is simpler, however less efficient, i.e.: Solar Array -> Solar Invertor -> Battery Invertor -> Battery
    • The price is really great for that kind of capacity. I thought similar setups cost way more. How's your efficiency been with the DC-coupling? I've heard sometimes there can be a bit of a performance loss.
    • Long time no random post about shit. So I went down this deep deep rabbit hole of battery storage for the home, ended up locking in a 41.9kWh Fox ESS EQ4800 with 9 units stacked. Battery uses Lithium Iron Phosphate, similar to what you find in those deep cycle boat/caravan batteries. And yes, why did I go with a cheapie brand and not like Synergy? simply because I don't plan to stay at this house for more than another 3~5 years.  The entire install, DC coupling (removal of existing invertor, connecting the current 6.6kW array direct to the battery invertor), new 8kW invertor is $6K all up (after all the rebates etc.). Going with this lot: https://www.aussiesolarbatteries.com.au/ It did seem a bit too good to be true, however seems like the Whirlpool community has vetted it and when it comes to this kind of stuff, they seem to be all over it: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/9pxj8482?p=38   I've requested for the battery to be installed outside, next to my meter board and not inside - rather have it combust and ignite outside lol.
    • In Vic it would be a defect regardless of whether or not you cut a hole in the sheetmetal for the return pipe. The rules in Vic are shitful, and are generally interpreted as you can "make 2 mods to the intake system". Putting an FFP and an FMI onto it will almost certainly be seen as some huge number of intake mods. You really need to speak to an engineer before doing this stuff in VIC.
