This is a perfect first car (P-Plater and Learner friendly) - perfect as a daily driver - perfect for someone to learn standard transmission! Highly Economical 4-Cylinder Safe Family Car that is super cheap to run and maintain and super fun to drive!

This is the top of the range model so has all the bells and whistles a car should have (and everything works the way it is meant to)! Vehicle has NO Major Accident History and a Clear Title!

I have owned this car for around 9 years and it has been an extraordinarily reliable daily driver. The car had a refurbished engine/cooling system installed mid-August 2013 - so is like brand new. I was planning on keeping the car forever - However as I am forced to relocate overseas it is time for someone to get an absolute bargain and this baby to get a new home!

Sold as is - No RWC/Rego (It is currently registered and driven on Victorian roads so I doubt it will need much/anything to pass a roadworthy). The vehicle has always had regular service and maintenance (exhaust system, tyres all round, etc have all been recently replaced). I have given it a quick wash and hand polish and wax and it does present very nicely (as can be seen by the pictures). While the exterior is not immaculate - it is in decent condition for it's age (a few stone chips have been touched up - there is a tiny dent above the passenger side headlight which was there when I bought the car - the paint on the rear spoiler needs some attention to be perfect - and the front bumper needs a good scrubbing), the interior is clean and tidy (seats, steering wheel, dash have all had covers to keep them protected from the sun and spills while I have owned the car), and obviously mechanically the car is in excellent condition!

Vehicle location - Wheelers Hill 3150 (Melbourne, Victoria). Please email through all correspondence. ***I Apologize for the rain in the pictures, I urgently needed to make this listing as I only have a limited time to sell the vehicle and as per usual Melbourne weather changed on me just as I went outside to snap some photos!

Buyer will need to cover and organize freight or permit (including all charges) and Full Payment is to be made within 7 days from Auction End. Local pickup and payment in cash is preferred (from Wheelers Hill 3150 - Melbourne, Victoria). Please note: All payment methods other than cash will need to cleared/verified before vehicle is released.

I'm happy to provide any further information so please don't hesitate to ask. :)

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
