Looking at cleaning up my LMGT4s by getting the rash off them, some of the "Nismo" decals are also starting to peel off so I think its time to replace those as well

my question is can, and where can I buy the decals in Genuine form in Australia, ive found some overseas in America

As you can see here,

the RHD decals are actually an "O" instead of a solid red dot like mine does here

Im hoping to find genuine decals with the solid "O" in Australia

cheers in advance

I've PM'd a guy on a different forum who manufactures stickers > estimated cost.

Mitchee here on SAU can probably make stickers too - here in Ryde

Stickers are a different dimension setup depending on whether they're for a 19" rim or an 18" rim > might be best to use a tailor's measuring tape for measurements.

I think Import monster can get them done, he got some for mine.

I also have a contact in the states that made me cutom yellow TE37SL stickers for $60 (rays direct charge about $150 or more i think), Not sure if they make the nismo sticker but i can forward details if you want to enquire about it?

SAU.NSW will be posting up on NYD, our summer 2014 Tech Arvo!

It's all about wheel repairs & it'll be held in Botany.

For Members only - stay tuned :)

Craved Coatings can also fix up your problem Nick if it's just colour matching you need.

He's also here on SAU known as "Craved"

Wow didn't expect so many replies haha

I have no idea how they are going to go abouts cleaning up the rim and keeping the same colour nick... I haven't spoken to the guy about it yet, I just know I want them fixed up

Anthony I actually just spoke to someone one over in the states and the price you quoted is about the same as theirs plus delivery.

Ill shoot you a FYA a message first Terry and ill get back to you if I decide to get them done by Mitchee

Cheer lads

  • 2 weeks later...

how do you prep the surface of the rim for painting without scarring the paint already there that the painted on stencil wont cover????

nope dont do that, itll flake off and without clear over it, itll be easily damaged through washing even...

vinyl cut for sure, just like they do from the factory...

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
