21 Ignition Signal -Primary Engine Light Problem

Hi Guys im new to the skyline world and i recently bought a 1998 R34 25GT-T. the four door non turbo ones.

Im living In Melbourne currently and after having it for about 5 months (After i put it in for a service at kmartauto) the engine light warning appeared after running for about 30 kms one day.

the following day it did the same thing, however i was idle in a car park and for a split second it nearly turned off, as if it was struggling to idle. This is when the engine light turned on once again.

I put it in to kmart for a check and they have told me its a 21 ignition signal primary issue related to electronical. I've called an ignition store, and they explained it may be a coil or 2 fault.

Can anyone at all help me with the explanation and recommend what i need to do from here?! Do i go to a mechanic straight away? if so where and how much is it expected. I've called a few places but they just keep forwarding me to a different location, and im slowly concerned that this may be a big job.
