I recently acquired a second hand powerfc and want to install it myself before taking it to be tuned. I want to make sure its returned to the base tune before starting the car and going throught the idle self learn procedure. How long does the ecu hold the previous tune for? I also got a hand controller so i can reset it with that but i dont know how. Any help appreciated guys.

Hi rb25

Installing these ECU's is very easy. Disconnect the battery first then un-plug your stock ECU and plug the PFC in is place. re-connect the battery and turn ignition on, then go to ETC on the hand controller and and select Re initi data.

You will also need to turn off the boost control setting in ETC other wise the check engine light will come on all the time. Unless you have the deticated boost conroller

Thats pretty much it...
