We would like to welcome Skylines Australia to attend Nation Time Attack (NTA). The NTA Race Event consists of two days PURE racing in which drivers compete in a large number of Time Attack Sessions per day! There will be no drift cars, no motor bike stunt riding to burn up valuable track time JUST RACING. Any timed lap within the NTA Race event will be counted toward the final ranking, meaning that one single hot lap, over the two day event, can win any one of the 22 CASH PRIZES up for grabs!

Though entry is free for spectators, there will be Fire Fighters there to collect a voluntary gold coin donation for entry, all proceeds going to the Fire Fighters.

We have created this event to give back to the racing community, as racers ourselves we saw plenty of events that gave NO prize money but collected plenty of money from the racer. So we thought let’s give it back to the racing community.

Chances are, if you have done work on your car and taken the time to do a bit of set up, then you have a very good chance at one of the 22, that's right 22, different cash prizes available at National Time Attack. We are giving away $1,000 to the fastest diesel, right through to $10,000 for the fastest outright! It’s going to be a top event, at all different levels!

So as this a "national" event I take it you are linking up with existing estabilished events such as:

http://www.wintonraceway.com.au/events/vic-time-attack

http://www.timeattack.com.au/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/

or just trying to cash in on the latest Fad?

Why does this remind me of that WRX driver challenge scam from a few years back?

Valid question, but understand that we are here for the racing community, to provide an event for the racer. Below is the Calendar link on the Queensland Raceway website, for our confirmed prepaid non-refundable booking for the 3/4th July. Feel free to call them, It's Keith (Qld Raceway Manager) we organised everything through.

We have the budget to run the event this year and next 2 years as a minimum. So we are here to stay.

Hi Slacker, Those events look good. We are more focused at a time attack event that provides BIG CASH PRIZES! No other event out there gives anywhere near the cash prizes we have on offer over the 22 different cash divisions we have:

As a racer, I'm glad Time Attack is taking off in Australia! National Time Attack is being put on to benefit the driver's. Driver's that prefer the racing and the time on the track. We will remove all the distractions so that the drivers can just enjoy pure racing without hassles. The idea is to put up a HUGE cash incentive for the drivers to battle it out on. When you are standing on the podium, with your cash and trophy in your hand you will know you are one of the best Time Attack drivers in the State period. The competition is going to be hot and the racing intense!

Anyone who has been around knows the number of big prize money events that have come and never happened in the end

Awesome if this gets up but everyone who plays cars knows how easy it is to get burnt

Deposit On qr for two days.. Maybe 3k

60k in entries... Tidy profit when the organiser disappears

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
