Hey guys.

I have got a R33 RB30DET running the RB25DET head. It has come time that I want to do more upgrades and don't want to run low on fuel supply. After talking with SK i have found out about a fuel pump (Bosh 044) now I'm keen on finding out about injectors and fuel regulators.

I have got a R32 RB25DE fuel rail that I would like to use on it because it has the ability to use top feed injectors (rx7 550cc injectors). Is this possible at all?

Running it will not be a problem (I think) as I'm going to be getting a power fc to run it all. Also was thinking of using a Malpasi Rising Rate regulator.

I'm hoping to get about 300 - 350rwkw But I will be VERY happy when I am able run a mid 12 and will most probaly stop for a while when I get to this point (GF want's to get some Land and start house shopping and has agreed to let me keep spending money on the car till it runs a mid 12)

I have done some searching on here for info about using this setup but the thread I found was stopped half way through the process..

Take it easy guys

Hi riceline, I think your question is "can I use an RB25DE fuel rail on an RB25DET inlet manifold", is that right?

Sorry I can't really help, I have used an RB25DE fuel rail but it was on an RB25DE top end (including inlet manifold). The Series V RX7 Turbo injectors fitted up to the fuel rail OK, the o'rings and injector wiring harness plugs where different though. :D

Series 6 13B's and cosmo 20b's have 550cc side feeds which can be made to fit in the standard RB25 rail by either using a set of Sard or D-Speed collars or machining some up yourself ($250-$300 v's $10 + a few hours of your time!) Plugs are different, but i think laser/mazda 323 plugs are the same. I'm yet to prove this though as i'm in the process of making the collars atm.

Try this....

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
