Selling as I am planning on buying a smaller car.I am the 1st Australian owner of this Nissan Stagea ARX which was bought in October 2010 from Northshore Prestige who always sold the best examples of this car with a genuine(checked) 68716 kms on the clock. I had the car professionally inspected prior to purchase and the car was in A1 condition for the age & kms travelled. I am a mature owner and this car has been an amazing family wagon for the last 4 years. There are no local wagons sold which match this car for performance, luxury and practicality. The car has been very well maintained with 6 month service intervals using top quality fluids. The rocker cover gaskets and battery were replaced in 2011 and the radiator was replaced in 2012. The standard suspension was replaced with height and damper adjustable BC coilovers last year(setup by Heasmans suspension) and at the same time the front balljoints and cv boots were replaced. The standard turbo was getting very noisy so last year this was replaced by a rebuilt Precision Turbochargers SS1 highflow turbo which is much more durable than the original turbo. The turbo is now nearly silent as it should be. If you look at a M35 Stagea that has not had the original turbo replaced and you can hear a loud turbo whistle when the car is on boost expect the turbo to fail in the near future as the original turbos always do on these cars. Along with a full custom 3" exhaust this has given what was already a very quick car a decent amount of extra power and torque even running standard boost levels. The car was dynoed after these mods and made 187kw atw with perfect afrs and 15psi boost. This would be over 250kw at the engine. The brakes have been upgraded with high performance pads(I will include the original pads too) and the original battery has been replaced with a new high capacity one. The car has been fitted with Prorack roof racks & these are included in the sale but the Thule bike racks in the photos are not being sold. The interior is standard apart from a turbosmart boost gauge and a Kenwood cd player that has replaced the standard built in Japanese system. The car has full factory floor mats and a cargo liner and the original carpet is unmarked and the leather seats are in good condition. The car is very comfortable and has electric everything including heated seats and everything works as it should. The lights are auto hid. For extra security the car has been fitted with a high quality Autowatch immobiliser with central locking. Any inspection is welcome and the car is being listed at a bargain price below redbook value despite the genuine low kms and thousands of $ worth of quality modifications as I am ready to buy a new car. I will add photos over the weekend but for now please check out my Carsales ad if interested-

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
