No Crust Racing
These came with some R34 guard liners I bought. I can't see a reason why I'd use them given I am running the V-spec diffuser. In what situation are these used on an 34 and what is the proper name for them as my googling is coming up with nothing. Hadouken
They attach to the bottom of your splash guards and act as a duct to direct cold air to your brakes Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463058-r34-gt-r-underbody-air-guidesplash-guardplastics-what-are-these/#findComment-7685918 Share on other sites
No Crust Racing
Used in conjunction with the V-spec splitter or is it a 1 or the other scenario? Hadouken
I think the diffuser over rides this. It has similar air guide channels Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463058-r34-gt-r-underbody-air-guidesplash-guardplastics-what-are-these/#findComment-7685972 Share on other sites
baicai
As above i think these brake air guides were fitted to standard Gt-r, for Vspec these are replaced by front diffuser and rubber cooling guides attached to lower control arm. baicai
I actually have both air guides on the car. I originally had the standard air guides and the brakes only lasted about 5 laps at wakefield, so bought the rubber guides hoping the brakes will last a bit longer. If you are using car for street and drag only you probably wont need them. They show up sometimes on ebay or you might find them at wreckers. No Crust Racing
In a VSpec isn't that the default? As in built in air guides in the diffuser and the rubber guides on the LCA? Only a non VSpec just runs the guides under the splash guard?
