ThatOneGuy
Ok so don't even ask what happened cause it's a pretty bad story but long story short, I got sandpaper (like 240 grit or something) on the side of my car. It's like 2 patches. What do you guys recommend I do to get it looking as normal as possible. I read on another forums to sand it to like 2000 grit than polish it but I wanted to says what you lads have to say cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/464792-sandpaper-scratches/ Share on other sites
Trex
Man that sucks! sanding up to wet 2k is the only way. That's if it even comes out. 240grit would have gone through the clear coat too. ThatOneGuy
Ye it sucks but I'm planning on getting a full respray once I got a body kit, so I guess I can live with it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/464792-sandpaper-scratches/#findComment-7727018 Share on other sites
dermy
Sanding extremly lightly with wet 'wet n dry' all the way up to 2000-3000 grit will remove most of it.. Robocop2310
You need to get 1K+ grit sandpaper and then wet dry it back. Then try cutting it with compound and then blend it back with some polish. It all depends on how bad it is. Post up some pictures if you want a second opinion.
