----------------------------------------------------------------------

Guitar was a present, but i had been looking around for an acoustic for a fair while, and wanted something with a small neck and body, unfortunately this beautiful guitar isn't either of those. Fairly standard neck, and body. I was look at the OM/000 sized Martins. I've played it for about 4-5days. So prob about 8-10 hours all up? It's brand spankers, no marks, ding, scratches, nothing. Just been sitting in my room, in it's Taylor hardshell case. Guitar also comes with..

- Guitar lead

- Video CD's (explaning Taylors Expression System, and an interview with some

Taylor dude)

- Various newsletters, leaflets, and Taylor guitar pick.

Australia RRP for this thing seems to be around $3,500 to $3,700. But being a high end guitar, not a lot of places stock them, so they are relatively hard to come by. So my price? :D Well considering i have played it for a few days, i'll make it a nice even...

$3000

Anyone in Melbourne or near me (Sandringham, Melbourne) is more than welcome to come and have a play, it really is a beautiful guitar, and has a great, big and bright sound. The tone is awesome and being a solid top guitar, these only sound better the more they are played. This guitar is great for recording, but prob better for live stuff dues to it's bigger, brighter sound compared to say a woodier Martin.

Will drop off in person to anyone who wants to buy from Melbourne.

cheers everyone,

P.S. If anyone wants to have try before buying, give us a buzz, 0402 853 813. More than welcome.

PRICE DROP!!!! Now super low of

$2800 - We are NEARLY $1000 off the RRP, just because i've played it for a few days!

as i said before, anyone is welcome to come around and have a play of the guitar. And as an extra bonus, i'll get the guitar re-strung with the same strings as it came from the factory. So that's....

$200 price drop AND a re-string with factory strings for whoever buys it! BARGAIN!!

  • 4 weeks later...

ok, ANOTHER price drop, now...

$2700!!!!! - this is a TOTAL bargain, and i really don't want to go lower as i'm insulting the Taylor :P It's feeling quite put out.

cheers.

  • 2 weeks later...

ok, after discussion with the 'Taylor' and me sporting a one bruised eye... we are now down to...

$2600!!! still INCLUDING the free restring, Elixir's, acoustic, medium guage. Top quality strings.

it's getting silly now folks, guitar has to go :P - and if anyone is interested, this is why it's going...

bumpy bump - not exactly Brand New anymore, but it was only played for 1 month in the end, and then i got my John Mayer Martin. So it's mint condition, and ppl are still more than welcome to come and play it.

cheers.

yeah since late 2003 i think Martin released them? only 404 made. i got 289 and also...

:)

apparently the only JM Sig which has been personally signed, so i've been told.

Cost me? bout $4.2K all up i think, guitar plus taxes and shit.

Anyways, you're not interested in the Taylor are you? :)

cheers,

chinny.

  • 1 month later...

bump! $2500 and that's it. Still including the free restring. Guitar hasn't been played in looong time now. John Mayer has a signature Fender Strat out now, so i need money to buy that :)

anyone interested? $2500 really is a stupid price for this guitar...

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
