im going to my bank tomorrow, if they tell me what i want to hear , ill buy this site unseen as long as engine passes a comp test.

my 31 has been given an offer i cant pass up, and ive been wanting a ceffy , ill let you know how it goes

geesus... ur in perth  and here i was thinking i was going to have to wrap it up and send it to a regional part of africa :)

ok well should be able to go for a comp test on monday morning... so far 3 people have offered the 17k but no one has bid on it or put a deposit down.. so first in first served.

if the comp test or mechanics check shows something u dont like i will gladly return the deposit.

min deposit will be $500.

ok... update is that the comp test should be done by the middle of the week.

so i will put the results up then.

ok mounts are all fixed and better than the nissan originals

thanks to nice welding and fabrication job on my brother in laws part...

will be taking the car to a mechanic tomorrow afternoon to get a comp test done... will have the results then.

oh and found out today when the car was on the hoist that 1 of the wheels were buckled.... so im going to replace all 4 with a set of 17s with good rubber.

well now its not in need of new tyres.... no where near as much.

Id say 2k for the usual stuff for compliance... maybe another 1500 for rego... so to be on the safe side id say budget for 4k... but thats being very generous... probably wont come close to that.

ok its confirmed that the comp test will be monday arvo.

will post up the results (which i know will be fine after the nice test drive i gave it today for an hour) will be good.

so if u want it... express ur interest now as there are still a number of people on this and other forums that keep saying they want it pending the test... but if u havent secured it once the results are in its going to the highest offer.

more pics in my gallery... looks much better than the others... specially now its had a clean :D

people keep asking why i call it a drift pig apart from the obvious that it was drifted by Ken Satoh is that the interior isnt exactly in show condition ;)

took some good vids of it today but have to find the cables so i can dump it onto the HDD... u hear it coming 30seconds before it even comes into picture :( had some in car footage... but it wasnt exactly very steady with such a hard ride ;)

starting to not want to sell it now the more i drive it...

as usual when selling my cars something small but a pain in the arse tends to break... starter motor went on it today... its been shakey for some time now but i always thought it was the recharged battery playing up.

went and purchased another one today and will have it put on tomorrow... so wont be able to get the comp test done until tomorrow when its done...

also found out the CAT has been gutted and its shooting flames everytime it "pops" :)

ok... just dropped the car off at the mechanics so should have the results of the comp test by this afternoon.

yeah should shit it in with those 17s on it...

someone on NS said they want to put a deposit down on it tonight regardless of the comp test results... so... everyone else may have just waited a bit too long... then again it may not go thru... who knows.

nope... he cant make it til tomorrow... so... theres a days grace if someone wants to quickly step in :D

Diagnosis is in!!

"u cant get any closer than that" - the mechanic i took it too

125 across the board... perfect condition.

and what do u expect from a car owned and kept by Ken Satoh?

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
