hi there i had ma R33 GTS-T 1994 for about 8 months now and im looking to get some basic mods and tuning

im looking at purchasing

600x300x76 FMIC

3 inch dump pipe and hi flow cat

Power FC and tuneing

runnin around 10-12 psi

with these mods wat could i expect with power output say on the rear wheels

the skyline is 186 kw at the engine and i carnt rember how much it is at the wheels in stock form..but wat would i expect with these mods

would i be able to obtain 200kw @the wheels or no

also wat else would i need to upgrade ?

fuel pump ?

injectors ?

rember i still want to be able to drive this car to work still

and what 1/4 mile times would i be looking at ? with these upgrades ?

Well if all done right and tuned at 12psi, a high 12 could be on the cards.  Ive got similar mods but no Power FC, only a SAFC and i ran a 12.98.

It all makes fun as a better daily driver to work.

hmm thats cool but how about power output ?? with those mods

ive got all the mods u mentioned 'TiNTiN' and i made 195rwkw on 12psi which drops off very quickly to 10psi, on the ICE Performance Dyno and i can tell u that the car is ten times better than when it was standard... the response and pick up it now has is fantastic for a street car, especially in the low rev range. it really pulls hard, ill be running at calder soon but ive been told that it is 'capable' of a very low 13...

u wont need to upgrade the fuel pump of injectors until u install a bigger turbo...

I would definatley recommend u go down and see the fuys at ICE..

ok seeeing that i get all these mods which will be likely

i heard that gettin adjustable cam gears can also help

are the required and how much do they cost ??

also if i get a full power fc tune at 12psi for max power output

wat happens if i use the boost controller and put my boost back down to the stock 7 psi... for daily driving

will i be running rich ? and not as good as say if i already had a stock car will all the fuel maps and etc..be off ?

Adjustable Exhaust Pulley is worth a couple of kw's, some gain and some loose if you do a few searches. From my personal experience, i found a few kw's. Cost approx $200 plus fitting.

If you keep the 12psi tune, then yes the tune will not be 100% correct with 7psi boost. But in my opinion, i doubt whether this would warrant another tune.

    • Sane enough. Remove the roof liner, because the acid will go everywhere.
    • Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help and experienced opinions.  I have spent a lot of my life working on boats so I'm pretty good with fibreglass. I'll take everybody's advice in here;  I'll cut a little more of the 2nd layer away as it's a bit crunchy rust and also it's sitting high now. Then I'll wire brush it all a bit to get off anything loose, then I'll soak the bejesus out of it all in rust converter. I'll make sure to get a little hose piece and feed it into all the holes and gaps between the roof layers. Then I'll fibreglass up the holes.  Then I'll get a pallet of filler and mix it with 3 buckets of hardener and hope that is enough to build up the roof corner.  Does that sound sane? Is one type of filler better than others for this?
    • My goals for it atm are to get it registered, respray and some mild power gains eventually... I picked up the car from an elderly gentleman near the border of NSW and VIC, its honestly a bit rough and looks like its been driven on a farm (because there was so much dirt underneath). Last week I dropped the subframe and emptied the old fuel out + added a new fuel pump (think the old one went bad from old fuel). Now I'm onto fixing a coolant leak at the rear of the engine + adding a new radiator as the old one is corroded. After that i have a new bumper, coils (as the old were leaking) and lots more
    • Welcome buddy! Plenty on here and YouTube. What are your plans for it? Good luck with the Rwc and Rego bud!
    • Love this so much! Please post a photo when you have a bike on the trailer.  I was a little bit worried about having a tow bar on the Skyline, but having it hidden behind the number plate is genius
