s-afc question.

just a quick question, if i unplug the s-afc display unit from the loom for a couple of weeks, will it lose its settings? thanks.

I don't know never tried it, but I always write down the settings anyway.

No, I had mine unplugged ready to go into another skyline for about 3 weeks. When I installed it in the other car, BAM!, everything was the same.

no it won't lose the settings... it is stored in "NON VOLATILE RAM" I think that's what it is called.

however, the car you pull it out of will not run if the controller is disconnected but the loom is still in place..

GTST is right, it won't run with the loom in place. You will have to unplug the AFM wires of the loom and reconnect the bullet connectors so that the ECU will see the AFM again. Then it will run fine.
