pffft! try find any car audi shop that sells bose stuff!

Bose is good for home systems, but the 1 in the rx7 can build yourself with alpine, focal stuff that would sound 10 times better for a few thousand

yeah akeenan, u r right, i was going to get a R33 GTS-T but remember the whole parents thing...so they said i gotta wait a year, and yeah i know this whole thing is only going to be relevant next November, but i just thought that i'd get some opinions now, so when i have the money next Nov, i'll have more of an idea what to do with it...and no, i'm not dreaming, i will have enough money for a R34 GT-T, but to find a local RX-7 might be pushing it...altho i found a few at autotrader.com.au in my price range...so it might be possible. But i think for my second car the R34 GT-T may be the way to go, i'm looking for more of a daily driver and one that is more reliable, and i think the skyline can take those two spots.

I was reading about that Silver-Arrowz, quite a few single turbo setups have been down over in the US, seems to be pretty popular.

I really appreciate all the opinions, and it's a bit hard to guess at prices a full year out, so we'll see what happens then, but i think at the moment, the R34 GT-T is the way to go for someone who doesn't know alot about car engines, i think the RX-7 is bit more of a purist car, not to say i won't have my hands full with a 1450kg, 208kw car :P, but for a daily driver, i think the Skyline can take that spot.

rx7's have rotary engines.. well if they;re so good y dont more cars have them? hmmmmmmm...

another point... the shape of the rx7 is pretty awesome now... but it is quote odd and strangely rounded..... it'll prolly date pretty quickly.

maybe its just me... but isnt the r34 the obvious winner?

ps... am i in rx7's australia or skylines australia??? could almost forget after reading the posts in this thread:(

Well, why don't Ferrari's and Lambo's have rear mounted engines like the 911???

Mazda took a long time to perfect the rotory engine. Lots of money went into engineering and evolving the motor. Other companies aren't going to take an unknown path. Mazda may know something they may not.

Thinking like that is just like how V8 diehards think. Have an open mind. I don't see GTS-t's winning 24 hour races.

Are u stupid. Firstly all Lambos have Rear mounted engines.

Secondly almost all Ferrari's have Rear mounted engines (F50, F30, 360. The only one that has a FR that comes to mind is the 550 Maranello

Thirdly Porsches are shit comapared to Ferraris and Lamborgines. Only the GT3 comes close.

:P:):D

ok ok....jokes aside (yes, i was on the floor laughing), thanks to akeenan and mango, mazda have decided to stick with the Rotary for the new RX-8, so they must like something about them.

Look the RX-7 is wicked, and so are Skylines. Simple as that. Maybe the twin turbo, Series 6/7 RX-7's are more than a match for the GT-T, probably better put head to head against a GTR, but i think we've established the fact the RX-7's are SEX ON WHEELS, and handle/go better than a GT-T, GTS-T, but for a practical daily, awesome performance, car, the R34 GT-T is the go...

but yes, we would like a RX-7... :P

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
