I'm going on the 26th of february.

Can I just say to everyone here that it's a bit surprising that 30 odd people have emailed me and confirmed yet only about 6 have gone and got their windows tinted so far.

I know we have 3 months but I would have thought that was only necessary for about 5 of the 30 odd.

What's happening peoples?

Don't worry too much about days set aside, call him and book your time.

I'm just waiting to sort out my air con as i always drive with my windows down. :)

One of my old tints have scrathes on it due to something rubing against it when opening and closing. Can he fix that? I would hate if my new tint got scratched.

I'm just waiting to sort out my air con as i always drive with my windows down.

I'm in exactly the same position: need to sort aircon ASAP because 48 hours with the windows up and no aircon = hell.

LW.

I have a window regulator problem that I need fixed before I get the windows tinted, as apparently when replacing it, it is very easy to scratch the window tint.

Hi Guys,

Few weeks down the track and im totally happy with the tints.

Heres couple of photos of 28% tint

Im so glad i did it since sydney has still been pretty hot and sunny, plus the price was great considering solartint wanted $300 for all my windows!

Yeah I saw the white R33 there it was a looker :(

Maybe my tint isnt as dark or something, or the type I chose isnt as great, but mine is far less dark than yours was. Robert said you had 28%, but maybe you went the other 28% film he was offering.

Oh well, *shrugs*. You live, you learn.

Booked in for this Saturday morning: 7:15AM :spew: -- Robert is a "morning person".. he starts at 6:00AM! -- I, on the other hand, am not :D He has been extremely helpful so far, fitting me in at extremely late notice :)

locosam / MarkE: which films did you go with? I think Robert mentioned he has a Cybertint and a something else @ 28 percent. Just wondering which is which :)

cooky2511: picsorban :)

Mine was the 28% non reflective.

Reflective looked really good on his ute, but i didnt think the reflective would suit my car much (plus i didnt want the extra attention from police). Im not sure what he called it, but it was the same as roberts ute

Got my car done on Sunday morning (28%, non-reflective). Only had time for one quick piccy because it started raining:

Before (when car was in Japan):

After:

Let me also add to the praise for Robert: he is just a top bloke. Fitted me in last minute, nothing was too much trouble, extremely helpful. You couldn't ask for me. Do the right think by him guys: if you put your name down, give him a call an organise a time to do your tint.

Thanks also to Adam for organising the group buy.

Lucien.

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
