Burns, midnight is correct. The plate and id on the bonnet cannot be seen so if you remeber the time you took those pictures you might be able to find out who was petrolling that area at that time, it could come in handy so try to remember it! (Be specific when stating those things, time/date/area). Good luck mate! =D

That may be true, but look again - there is an independent witness who could possibly verify the rego or police vehicle ID number and hence solidify the ID of the person driving the police vehicle. Also, DO NOT show the police the pic at all. Wait til you have asked him the question and got him to state that he has never crossed the centre line, and then spring the picture on him in court. The judge will have little choice but to dismiss the case based on the police officer's lack of credibility (basically, lying).

Go for it and good luck.

hahahahahaha, as always.... there is a something that can be referenced from the Simpsons

if i may bring everyones attention to exhibit A: Lionel Hutz

"Hutz: Now Mr. Nahasapeemapetilon, if that is your real name.

Have you ever forgotten anything?

Apu: No. In fact I can recite pi to 40,000 places.

And the last digit is 1.

Homer: Mmm... pie.

Hutz: Well if you never forget anything. Tell me this. What color

tie am I wearing? (turns around)

Apu: You are wearing a red and white club tie in a half-windsor knot.

Hutz: Oh, I am, am I? Is that what you think? Well if that's what

you think, I have something to tell you [ugh]. Something which may

shock and discredit you [ugh]. And that thing is as follows

(as he finally undoes the whole tie). I'm not wearing a tie at all.

[jury gasps]

Apu: If I am wrong about that. Maybe I am wrong about Mrs. Simpson.

Hutz: No further questions.

[Hutz raises his arm and the tie is sticking out of his sleeve]

"

:)

Thanks for the some times useful replies.

I will only be using the unedited photos straight out of the camera. I was actually looking for a for CSI style digital enhancement to be able to read the numberplate, car id or see the driver. But the other work is most entertaining.

The random farmer is my old man so not really an independent whiteness. He now has a gut ake from laughing at the incriminating photos.

I will take the how can it be justified that I get fined for it when a cop car dose it too. It must be safe. I also have a few other strong arguments and can get written statements from a few people stating that the nature of the corner dictates that it is natural and safer to straiten the corner.

The tyres are on wheels I borrowed to put on the car for a few weeks while I was waiting for my new wheels to arrive. My stock 16 where getting close to unroadworthy and I didn’t want to lash out for tyres to put on them when I was getting new 17’ in a few weeks.

well if you are relying on "but the cop did it" to get off .. it's not worth pursuing.

It's like saying "well that minister went and robbed a bank, therefore I can too " ..

The excuse "but somebody else was doing it" kind of means nothing in court dude..

Again, just because "it was safe" won't get you anywhere as well, as you broke a listed road rule.. I could say I was going 10km/hr over the limit because it was dry and nobody around - again that's not going to get you off anything when it comes to these things

Too bad about the fine some cops just instantly spot any import and think "omg this guy/girl is up to no good cause their car goes faster and has different wheels!!" like omg guys get a grip its a car like any other (well almost..) doesnt mean they have to pick on us!!!!!!! grrr...

bahahah at ur pic pantae!

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
