getting more low down torque/power ???

Recommended Posts

Hey guys just wondering what is the key to get more low down responce eg torque/power i know high up everyone says of do the basics get the breathing happening etc but by doing this dont you reduce back presure which will then compromise on the low down responce ??? could be wrong but just wondering if their are any mods which are likely to yeild more low down responce.

thanks in advanced.

Option 1 - Add a torque converter = more torque down low.

Option 2 - Cubic inches = torque, go the RB30 route

Option 3 - Change your gear ratios or Diff ratio.

Or an easier but even stupider option, get a nice big v8 say a 350chev and twin turbo that (heard there is a kit out) and wham you have a twin turbo skyline with a hella lot of torque, would push way over 600nm of torque at the fw

cheers guys and coupe-this i dont think i will be taking that road :P but sounds nice hehe.

Seriously certain cams might give u a little lift in torque but that would most likely be in the higher rev range say 2500 - 4000rpm, depending on the lift of the cams, sadly the smaller the engine, the less torque, be glad u dont own a wrx as i have heard they arent anything until boost comes on :S

it all comes down to money as per usual, rb30dett? vq30dett?(300zx engine?)

I've got an old v8, and the power is totally different, just try to keep the revs up ?
