R31Nismoid
for a skyline? stay well away from microtech. Go a more recoginised ECU for a sklyine. PFC or a wolf Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62910-microtek/#findComment-1185168 Share on other sites
BHDave
Microtech offer a direct plug in replacement ecu for the r33 so installation will take you about half an hour as you only need to run a vacuum/boost line to the ecu and plug it in. As with all ecus there are good and bad results. I have read of some good results with the microtech. As for tuning, any reputible workshop will be able to tune them, check some dedicated rotary workshops too as alot of them use the microtech LT/MT ecus. Gascan
Go the PFC, would cost 1500 approx brand new and 2 hrs on dyno to tune. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62910-microtek/#findComment-1186124 Share on other sites
Cubes
Go the PowerFC. It has all the goodies for a street car to make good power, be economical & reliable. It uses exactly the same setup as the std. ecu. 1. 6 injector drivers (Not Batch Fire that reduces fuel economy and power/torque) 2. 6 Coil Drivers (Not wasted spark that makes the coils run hotter and reduce their life) 3. 02 Closed Loop mode (For 14.7:1 Air fuel ratios while cruising and light throttle). Do some research in to the ecu's before you outlay the money. 100% you will always drop back to the PowerFC UNLESS you were to require Antilag and the rest of crap for huge horsepower or rallying. Waldo
I want a Map sensor though cos i hate the fact that the atmospheric bov mucks around with the stalling and stuff. can you tune the power fc so it can still have an atmospheric bov and tune it so it doesnt stall and splutter. Or will it do this with using an AFM no matter wat. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/62910-microtek/#findComment-1186398 Share on other sites
