1997 R33 GTR V-Spec - When the engine is cold and temp setting at 18c cool air comes out the dash vents. When the engine is warm or hot and temp setting unchanged it blows warm air out the dash vents (warmer than outside temp) If a/c is turned on for say 30 secs then off it seems to help but still is not same temp as outside. Anyone got any idea's ?

I had a similar problem check that your interior temp sensor is connected and working if not that will automatically go to hot. If its not that its prolly the tap that opens and closes to control hot water to the heater.

i had this problem too, its aparently a common problem on the r33's the motor that opens / closes the valve for hot / cold air is weak, and breaks after a few years operation, my car was doing it when i bought it so it was replaced under warantee, luckily, as the entire dash has to be removed to change it, well entire dash if its has a passenger airbag ..

at least this is what justjap in kirawee told me ..

the new motor itself is not expensive, just the time to do the work .. i remember seeing an article on howto remove the dashboard of an r33 - not sure if it was on this site - do a search, it was a red r33

cheers

the thing tang0 is talking about makes a clicking noise when you turn on your car... not sure if that has anything to do with it... try what Godzilla32 said... the interior temp sensor is just behind the plastic dash surround (that has all your stereo etc in it)... just below and to the left of your steering wheel you will see a small vent (horizontal lines) behind that there should be a black tube going to it and a plug with some kind of electronic component :D

Best bet would be to try the diagnostics on your climate control, withing 10seconds of starting your car, hold the off button on the climate control for about 5 seconds i think...
