just a question,

just looking at the photos of the purple gtr that crashed and i noticed it had a rear windscreen wiper

i own a series 1 33gtr v spec and mine doesn't have a rear windscreen wiper ,

is this like a series 2 or 3 thing ?

if so is there any other differences between the series 1, 2 and 3 ?

just wondering

:headspin:

Does your wiper control stalk have a symbol for the rear wiper? Maybe it was removed.

mine was the opposite came with rear wiper but no pass. airbag (95 model)

i've driven mine in light and heavy rain and for some weird reason no word of a lie the rear windscreen barely gets wet, like on my parents magna (no wiper) so i took it off...

ben...

It is only there for snow....... and how much of that do we get here?

No, rear wipers appear on Australian-delivered cars as well. Especially those that have sharply angled rear windows, because the rain doesn't run straight off them like it does off a vertical window.

My 95 gtr33 vspec has a rear wiper, and my mates 95 gtr came with one as well.both series 1.And both our cars only have drivers airbag.I also used to have a 93 r33 series 1 that had a rear wiper and a 95 r33 that had one.But then i have seen a few that dont have them.Personally i like the rear wiper,i also like how it has a water sprayer as well.

yes, quite true about the aussie delivered wipers... but I think you will find you answered your own question.... as the GTR etc all have sedan style rear windows, it is hardly needed, how many aussie WRX's do you see with them? but the import ones have them ;)

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
