Metal headgasket or not?

Should i get a metal headgasket and o ring the block?

Cometic I've heard are ok and reasonably priced.

I have also heard standard nissan head gaskets are pretty damn good.

What head gasket do you think and how much and where from??

It won't hurt to change the head gasket for realiability, their around $500 or so depending on what you get.

what about ones that don't need the block grooved for the o rings, are they good?

Cometic are a good MLS gasket, the price is good to, around $400 and as good as the big name Japanese ones for half as much again.

I use a cometic head gaket...its got like an inbuilt o-ring in the middle layer. My engine builder said its used in group A and diesel engines....

yeh my metal head gasket has an interesting concept, i am unsure of the brand, but my mechanic said its good, may need a bit of hylomar to seal in a few places near water jackets
