Scooby
Lots of places will do this but does anyone know who can match the R32 GTR dash grain perfectly? Can't afford to get it wrong. Scooby
there's a lot of bubbled dashes out there - isn't anyone doing this ? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/64762-dashboard-recovering/#findComment-1232604 Share on other sites
Godzilla32
Mines bubbled too, i'd also be intersted. Blackmans auto trimmers do an excellent job but i dunno if they are out of victoria. Scooby
Dan; looked into this but it's unlikely given the nature of the vinyl and shrinkage etc. Depends how bad, sometime they heat it up, put a glue filled syringe needle through the centre of the bubble, inject glue and press it back onto the crashpad foam. Works sometimes... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/64762-dashboard-recovering/#findComment-1233528 Share on other sites
Scooby
OK research reveals that no grain is currently made that closely replicates the standard grain. Which means either put up with the bubbles or recover the entire interior, neither of which appeal to me but biting the bullet and recovering everything is probably the go.
