How to get a good Launch when dragging

Last week me and my friends went to for a drag session with other bunch of ppl. I raced a Integra Type R. Although I beat him, but its only by about 3 car length. My car spins too much at start. Its running on 215/40/17 tyre. whats the best rev to launch in?

I know if u launch it too hard u gonna spin out the whole first gear. is there any trick behind this?

If you are talking the 1/4 strip. Then let down the tyres to about 19/20psi and launch at 3000rpm or so.

if you have EBC turn it off when you are in first gear so it runs low boost then hit second and switch it on.

I did this whilst my car was in 2wd mode and it was bloody awesome.
