Hey guys,

Fitted a turbo smart boost T a couple of days ago when me and another guy on the forums tested it out it was working fine boosting straight up to 9 1/2 or 10 psi then dropping to 9 after 0.1seconds so not much of a spike.

anyways i got it home and turned the twist top down a little more but did it really quite firm (maybe thats my mistake) anyways took it out today and it was really weird it would at times boost fine this time it would only go to 8psi cause i turned it down but it still went straight up. Then other times it was almost like the dual stage was back were by it would go 5psi at like 3500rpm then by like 5,000 it got up to 8... but i also noticed it wasnt holding boost like it was before. I have check the hose and the connection appears fine and their is no bends in the piping either. Can anyone offer any advise on what to look for.

With the turbo smart ones you have to have them wound out a touch for them to work properly.

I cant remeber exactly how much, it was in the setup instructions, something along the lines of wind it all the way in and then so many turns out for your initial drive then adjust it up from there. Sorry, it's been a couple of years since i owned it so can't remember exactly.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
