well after last weekend, I've decided that so I don't have to spend night after night annoying my neighbours with power tools (and then feeling guilty even if it isn't late) I'm going to be seeing someone this Saturday to get a quote to have them moulded and have a small run made up. So I won't go quoting yet in case my best guess is waaay off

Will let you guys know as soon as I know. Thanks for your patience :)

I don't think I'm going to bother getting a run done of the stick on eyelids. If people want those, please let me know (drop me an email) and i'll make them up. If the demand for them increases (for the stickies) I'll look at getting a small run done ;)

Sorry guys,

I've been waiting to confirm all of the details before posting up :)

The moulding process takes 3 weeks once the originals are finished. I'm aiming to get the originals painted next week, so it'll be about 4 weeks (once the originals are painted) till we have ready made parts :(

Price per pair is $150 :) and that will be for the bolt-ons.

They will have 2 mounting points (one at the outside, and another inthe middle of the headlight), and to accomodate those who's cars might not be as straight as we'd hope - they'll have metal brackets which will bolt the eyelid to the car (these will be supplied obviously ;) ).

It's going to cost the same for me to get stick ons made so I don't think i'm going to spend too much time worrying about them. If anyone does want stick-on's for whatever reason, email me and we'll work something out. Doesn't seem like there's too much interest for them anyway.

So i guess it's time to start taking official orders :) Please send me an email if you have any q's or would like put an order through. Pic's of the finished product will be up once the first set have been made from the mould.

Please let me know if you want them painted. Painting will cost more obviously. If you want them painted please supply me with your paint code and I'll arrange a quote.

:(

Michael

P.S. Please make sure you email me if you are definitely interested. This will help me work out numbers :)

Will have pics in about 4 weeks :D

  • 3 weeks later...

Well lads...they'tre painted and off to be moulded this afternoon :O They look great, better than I thought they would. There were a few delays with the painters, but we got there in the end.

I'm still shopping around for a good price on the paint, so if you guys can recommend any painters please PM me :)

Not long to go now :(

:D

    • I've searched fairly extensively among Japanese websites but found nothing really like those skirts in your photo. The closest I got was Origin Labo side skirts however they look more 'complete' in that they have a finishing piece or tab at the rear of the skirt so it blends into the bodywork, unlike the one in your pic. For that reason I'd say the skirts in your pic could be adapted from another car and they didn't include that tab piece, or those skirts aren't copied from an existing skirt but an original design. Sorry I can't help out in regard to ID'ing/sourcing them
    • Wonder if JB Weld sponsored the event lol
    • There's a big difference between a car built with millions of dollars in R&D, and someone like yourself taking a normal sporty road car, and making it 5 times more powerful. At the same time, get a modern sports car, and you can turn them up towards the 1000hp mark a lot easier too. Also, give that Lambo another 20 odd runs, and chances are it too may break something.
    • There isn’t really a cheap upgrade here. If someone made a decent, bolt in 6 speed that holds some grunt, it would do very well. The 5 speeds suck. You can put a - OSG 5 speed gear set into it. Ratios are tall so it zaps the “zing” out of it. Had one, busted it. - PPG 5 speed gear set synchro or dog’s. Ratios are even taller. - An overpriced Getrag. Nice to drive, expensive to source now. - A sequential of some sort. Expensive, very expensive. How many times do you pop a 5 speed before you throw the toys out of the cot?
    • Yes, fair call. I don't have any special love for super/hyper cars but it was impressive to watch the Lambo line up against successive skylines without any problem at all.
