d00dz
Guys just noticed my oil gauge not working. The one on the right hand side of the stock R33 dash. The meter is always at 0. Even when the engine is running. What should I do? Friend (Jordan from this forums) said it may be an early sign of the engine dying..! OMG WTF.... The engine runs fine and nothing "seems" to be wrong. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/71075-oil-gauge-not-working/ Share on other sites

wrxhoon
If you have zero oil pressure your engine would't last very long at all . both top end and bottom end , big ends would go in like 5 minutes running . I would say you have a crook sender ( the oil switch on near the oil filter ) or a crook gauge . How long ago since it stopped working ? Sudden or gradual ? d00dz
Suddenly.. well I just bought the car last week... Ive been driving it from CBD to like meni and places (~1hrs long). So I hope its not the engine. The engine oil seems to be all there.. No leaking or drop in oil. RyanN
give the dash a wack, could be stuck (recently my engine temp gauge was stuck and after quick beating it kicked back to where it should of been) - you would notice a loud tapping noise coming from the engine if the engine wasn't getting oil, so i doubt its anything major since the 'check engine' light didn't come on which would have a sensor at the oil pump and detected no oil passing through the pump.
