Man i personally think that this aint the right attitude when you are "thinking" of selling your car MUNCHBOX. I do not think that you will be able to sell or even entice any interested parties if you were to continue arrogance like that. I know this is a for sale section but abusing or calling potential buyers "cheaparses" should not be allowed in any section of SAU. I aint doubting your car isnt a sweet ride, but to put it simply, there are many members of SAU that have sweeter rides than this. I have a family member looking for a R34 to build up to JDM drift spec in white, but your posts and previous POST that was deleted has led me to keeping searching. Good luck with your sale anyways.

Guys Thats probally why i have used words like so.

Arrogance might be one thing but having to field calls from people who " wanna check it out" and use terms like i"m thinking i might by a 34 one day" are really wasting my time.

Its a good car and a good price. if i have to pee people off to weed out the real buyers so be it. I have had R32, R33, supra and soarer and touch wood have sold them all the same way after getting "duded around" by kids dreaming on my first car.

I have no doubt sweet cars are everywhere but ask those people who own some, if they like guys coming over just to take a look, after they have washed , cleaned , changed thier plans to be home etc only for them to turn up (usually late ) and do nothing more than stand around for 30mins talking (sweet ride stories or regurgitating junk from some mag they read) with the 2 other mates that came a long for the ride, wow - then asking to take it for a spin round the block and you would know where im coming from.

Call it arrogance, whatever - but it can stay i the shed (as it has done for the last 3 months) for all i care rather than get jerked around, its just not worth the time or effort honestly.

I would rather call a spade a spade, than have to rap it around thier neck when they turn up and mention (after doing the above 25 min presentation) - " i need to find out how to get some money together heh- reckon a bank would loan me" this is just after you find out they started at KFC last week (nothing against those of you who have gotten 1+ jobs to get your wheels or work at KFC)

But work with me here.

I sell digital technology for a living and i can lose deals over $50, in the scheme of a $30K piece of equipment, $50 bucks dont rate as far as im concerned and yet you explain why its worth the extra coin and yet they are the first ones to complain in 6 months time cause they bought the cheap junk and wanna be helped out.

Sorry dude but sometimes when i deal with people i get so frustrated cause they always want something for nothing and moan over paying for the better rims etc. either way i have removed that word from my post, i can only log in here between jobs so im pretty curse and shorrt for time when im posting

Cant even remember why someone had a cry over my last post but heh you get that.

Anyway all things said and done All im after is 'one genuine buyer' that is buying the car not me anyway, if he reads these forums cool if not cool too.

Remember BMT the quality of the car doesnt change just because of the quality of the posts. But thanks for taking the time to post and at least checking the car out.

And i use the term "thinking of selling" because i only really want to sell if its painless and easy. If it all gets to hard ill just hang on to it

Don't worry about it then... that photo is so small I can't even make out the style let alone the potential damage on those rims?

My rims are silver, not white - the only reason I am asking for photos is for a good look...

Furthermore, your link doesn't work~

What will happen is that once the stock ECU sees more airflow than it expects it will add a heap of fuel and pull a heap of timing to be safe because it can't understand how it could get that much air without there being an issue. You will see clouds of black smoke and it won't pull hard through the midrange and top end. So, overall it will be a bit frustrating but should be OK. If you are still nervous set the base timing back 2o through the CAS, but it will be even more sluggish everywhere. As said above through...this is not my guarantee your engine won't be blown into a million pieces, leaving you looking for very hard to find parts A better idea is get a computer with logging ASAP, wire in a wide band O2 sensor and a use remote tuner. I've done multiple cars this way and while it is not as good as a specific tune on a dyno they can get it 90% right. I'd suggest if you can afford an R33 GTR these days you can afford an ECU and tune. And if you can't afford that you sure won't be able to afford the rebuild if it goes bad in the meantime,.
    • Yeah it would be nice if someone took the time to put that sort of information together, but there are a lot of variations in looms. I think you are making this way hard for yourself if you just want to get it running....sourcing an SR20 with the right wiring will be a billion times easier than matching the RB loom to an S15 chassis. If you do end up going this way, you just need to trace every wire in the loom with a multimeter, 95% of them will go to a location you can confirm at the ECU.....and then post it up for the next person who needs it
    • Just top it up with water, and keep a general idea of how much you added. It is normal for water to be pushed into and pulled out of the reservoir through the cap, and it should not be more than half full or it will be likely to overflow when hot. Any decent mechanic can do a pressure test of the cooling system to confirm if you have a leak. Keep in mind if it is only leaking a little and when hot it may well evaporate before you see it hit the ground
    • I'd ask the shop what they used and use that. Mixing coolants is sometimes OK, sometimes not, and you have know the details of each coolant to know whether it's a good idea or not.
    • Is it alright to top up with just another green coolant?
