Get a compression test done just to be safe.

As for handling I find that when fanging around corners, if the back snaps out, keep foot on throttle and use half as much lock opposite. The front will hook the front wheels into where you want to go. Hairy at first but it takes a little to get use to.

hi andrew,

u dont need a power fc unless ur upgrading injectors/turbos.

the standard unmapped ecu is good for 270kw +.

weve done a few lately with this sort of power on standard ecu.

u may need a fuel pump though, above 250kw is a little risky on standard pump, nothin worse than a top end lean out.

u may need an adjustable reg above 250kw.

250kw-mid 12s ,come on meggala.only if ur grannys driving.

250kw is good for mid to high 11s if u know what ur doin.

both costas and shauns r32 went mid to high 11s with this sort of power.:) .costas standard ecu and i think shauns to.

dont worry andrew when u pick it up from me after ive had it tuned for you ,it will rip anything up your way in the sticks.

Yeh I found out the hard way that the ATTESA will only be active if you have your foot on the throttle. It is a bit hairy the first few times cos your natural reaction is to back off but if you do that you'll get understeer..... when in doubt.... power out :)

The R33's dont look as good in silver for some reason.

really?

id do a comp test if ur worried

if u wanna learn how to drive it bring it over my way and u can take it round winton for half the day :uh-huh:

be a good pic and vid day :)

at least its better than fangin it round the back of ur joint and crashin into a pole or car or sumfin

or morons on trikes :bahaha:

i know ull enjoy it just as much as u did ur gtst

Dean: yeah I dont intend on a power fc for a while, maybe the same time as turbos, which will definitely be a while.

Did you say that the adjustable fuel reg was part of the tune up you do?

The only other car around here that might give me a go is another GTR. A silver R33 GTR, but i dont think its even modded much at all.

400hp: that does look sexy!

Kamikaze: those bloody kids on their tricycles! hahahaahaha

Man Id love to come down for a hoon around a race track. When I get it, Ill hafta catch up and come down for a visit.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
