Hey all

I've just moved to Manly from Newcastle & want to know who are now my 'local' skyline neighbours for the area.

A northern beaches Skyline owners casual cruze / meeting would be cool.

Anyway I've only seen 1! skyline in manly... actually in an open garage. It's a white r32 GR with plates AOA-???, if thats your car I live just around the corner buddy! hah. Owww & I seen a stock looking grey r33 at warringah shoping centre, that's bout it tho :D

Owww also I’d like to know a good place to ‘test’ out our cars. Back in Newy there was a good industrial road very wide & long & was good fun to give a few boots up & down vs mates.

Cya!

Welcome to the Northside.

Firstly, watch out for our notorious friday night sessions which tend to happen late on friday evenings and usually involve a cruise from Chatswood down to palmbeach stopping along the way at newport for pizza.

Regarding "testing" your car, be careful. We have a good rep with the local constabulary down that way and we certainly dont encourage any behaviour that may damage this reputation.

There are many of us in the area though so your best option is to get along to the next friday night cruise and meet the locals.

Yeah, I'm not a hoon, but I do like to have fun in my car every now & then away from houses & the public eye 'IE, industrial estates'. You cant speed in Syd 'in general' anyway, too many cars & camera's.

Sounds good :D More details about where, when, etc. Man I love cruising at night time, the air is so cold & the horsepower is so high :D

Im near dee why..

I live near an industrial area actually, et me know when your gonna go testing so I can pull up a chair and count the highway patrol cars that rock up.. hehe.. Its amazing how fast they rock up.. I go bed in my brakes then hide the car before the rock up and thats just a few 80 to 0 stops.

Hey Ben,

yeah i'm alright dude... not too long until I can maybe get my licence back - so hopefully it all goes OK! Gotta get a few things done on my car before then though, need a service and a big wash and polish - hehe.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm in frenchs forest , there's also a guy who parks a series 1.5 black r33 across the road from me too, although i've yet to see the driver, and there's a r32 gtr in my street as well.. i'm up for a cruise sometime too... just waiting to get my car engineered first before i drive in a large group, want to be 100% certain i won't get a defect, and not have to stress the whole time that i'll get done :D

U guys should all come to the Old Pac run on fri the 10th. It not a chatswood to the beaches cruise, but there should be a good turn out, good chance to meet everyone.

As much as I'd love to go on the cruze tonight it is a bit out of the way... Looking forward for a northern beaches one. Someone should organise one & start one in events?? :)

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
