Would have to be a pretty big leak for it to make 0psi on full load.. and you would certainly hear it.

I have had intercooler pipe leaks on GTR's before, even small ones made a large sound but I only lost a small amount of boost. The turbo's just worked harder. :P

You would also be very unlucky for both turbo's to fail at the same time.. very!

You must have a whole intercooler pipe off.. I would take the front bar off and have a really good look.

Yeah... we are gonna have a good look at it tonight. I agree, its either a whole pipe come unstuck somewhere, or another issue, cause there is no hissing sound of a small leak. Will post the answer tomorrow, cause we WILL FIND IT DAMNIT!!!

ps - just normal vacuum hoses would be the go for replacing vacuum lines, i reckon anyway.

Result....

Turbo's are BOTH f#cked!

One was partially gone for a while, but I didn't know any better, so I just thought thats what a GTR did (was still pretty damn fast)

Then the night in question... the other one went also.

... at least it wasn't my dodgey intercooler pipe replacing...

I'm going to continue crying now...

Anyone got some turbos they wanna sell me?

By gone, do you mean ceramic in the cat? If so, you could have them rebuilt with steel turbines. Otherwise there are always plenty of GTR standard turbos for sale.

Yeah, ceramic in the cat. 1.5 wheels worth apparently.

At least I know that while I "thought" my car was fast, it really should have been alot quicker... guess I can look forward to see how GTR's really go... shames its gonna cost a few thousand $$$ to get there...

Shop around, should be about half that.  Even less if you fit them yourself:cheers:

Unfortunately its not only the turbos.....the welch plugs are leaking, the water lines behind the block are leaking and full of orange crap...and various other misfortunes....the engine has to come out....if you can do it for half that SK its all yours buddy!

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
