sprayed and sanded back?? how doees that get SKYLINE lit up on the back of your car? - someone explain it please? im interested in how this is done

Sprayed over the orginal, then sanded back the paint where the word SKYLINE is to allow light through from behind.

Optional extra from Japan, you can buy a kit for $70 from a guy on SDU .....

I've had a few enquiries about the kits supplied by MR-GTR on SDU forums. If anyone is interested (or just to lazy to make their own ) in a brand new rear light kit direct from Japan have a look at this thread HERE

These are brand spanking new though, so they are a little more expensive than the kits he was previously supplying which were second hand ....

sorry guys for bringing this old thread up...but i dont understand what u mean by spraying the whole rear applique (skyline panel) red, then sanding down the rest? do u mean spraying the whole applique red, then sanding down everything behind it expect the letters skyline? could someone send some pics of what it looks like behind(ie: boot in, or just the applique?)
