I've seen "The chase is on" and it's fair dodge!

I haven't seen it myself.... but I've updated my first post, because I made an error.

This Saturday is the premier screening of the short film "RUSH" (Ford GT ripping it up)

They will also be screening a directors cut/preview of the new upcoming movie which is actually called "Crash Course" and will be Traction Control Films' first full length feature film.

Hope that clarifies everything ;)

Just a reminder this is on tonight if anyone is interested to go!

DISCOUNT FOR FORUM MEMBERS only $15, save $5 per ticket but you MUST phone the ACMI Box Office in Melbourne on 03 8663 2583 ASAP, tickets are selling fast.

You must quote 'FPV CLUB' when booking or paying for the tickets to receive the discount.

Remember each ticket includes a voucher for the free RUSH mini-DVD, to be released around 30th June.

lol... the info I posted here was to help out Cam (the director) to promote the screening of his short film. So if you have comments you're welcome to post them dude. :D

They didn't show much of a "preview" for the upcoming movie (crash course). I think "RUSH" was more of an experiement in filming techniques for high speed camera filming. The video quality was sometimes pretty average, due to some very brief moments of oversaturation in bright scenes, and losing focus when following a car with the camera at high speed. It was obvious that it was filmed in hi-definition Digital video. It would take many practice runs to line up the chase car ideally to get the perfect shot and angle while keeping the car in focus the entire time - not as easy as it looks!. As a learning experience for the film crew I think they gained alot from making RUSH... hopefully they can bring it all together with the editing, ACTING, and filming to make a proper full length movie.

As for the movie they released about a year ago ("the chase is on") - this was the first time I'd seen parts of it in the directors cut, and I personally thought the acting was pathetic. :( Hopefully they will get some real actors for the full feature movie.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
