Fitting new Rear steering (HICAS) Rack

Recommended Posts

Hi Again

Has anyone fitted a new HICAS steering rack into the rear of a R32 ? (it's a Hydrolic setup, unlike the Electric setup of the R33's onwards)

My question is, after fitting a new one, do you have to bleed it somehow after putting in the fluid? and if so how?

eg. if you fit a new front rack you have to turn the steering wheel side to side until you get all the air out of the system...

So do I have to do something similar with a new rear rack.. like put the HICAS into DIAG mode and turn the wheel side to side??

any clues??

thanks

James
