Hi All,

I have a brand new Greddy "Full Auto Turbo Timer". I was given this as a gift by a retailer for late/slow delivery on a part I ordered, but have no use for it. Its the bling silver model.

A complete set of pictures is available here. If you want any other angles/shots, just PM me.

I'm sure most people are aware of its features, but here is the manufacturer's blurb:

The basic function of a turbo timer is to allow the vehicle to idle the engine for a timed period, with the ignition key removed. This allows the engine oil and turbo center cartridge to cool down and prevent internal turbo damage.   GReddy Full Auto Timers pack tons of features into one economical, compact unit. In addition to two standard programmable count down presets (P-1, P-2), the GReddy Full Auto Timer also has two auto timer modes (A-L, A-H). The modes estimate the driving RPM according to the vehicles alternator signal and then recommend a count down time. Also new are the stopwatch/lap time and attack modes along with a built in voltmeter and speedometer. Still standard are the optional parking brake and speedo safety hook-ups.

The AU RRP on these seems to be about $200, but obviously you can get them cheaper elsewhere.

Given that I'm looking for best offers around the $100-120 mark. Happy to send anywhere. Item is located in Sydney: pickup and inspection is fine.

:(

I want this gone. First person to offer $110 has it.

I've had an offer of $100: if there is no better offer by Sunday 10PM, its sold.

Great chance to pickup a brand new turbo timer for next to nix.

Lucien.

are you auctioning this thing now?... $101..

In the original post, I said I was looking for the best offer between $100-120: for a quick sale I'd rather just $110 without the stuffing around. However, I've been offered $100 and if that's all I get by 10PM this evening, the lucky chap gets it.

Lucien.

hey lucien, just wondering if you know if this is compatible with the mongoose m80g alarm? apparently in the feature list it says turbo timer interface software.... i know its a long shot, but i gotta ask

p.s. i tried ring chris from soundoff who did my alarm install, but hes not answering (hehe why would ya on a sunday arvo..) so i shot off an email, not sure if he will get back in time though

yer was just wondering if its like a industry standard interface for alarm->turbo timer...this is all new territory for me

I doubt its a "standard". I would assume its just some logic that allows the ignition to run with the key removed without triggering the alarm/immobilser. But that's just a guess ;)

Lucien.

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
