Hi,

I received my m-spec '93 GTST a few days ago and I was hoping someone could tell me preferably with some sketches or pictures what valves etc should be cleaned and checked?

there is nothing notibaly wrong with my car, just has a slight stumble coming off from

high revs @ 1300 revs it has a very slight stumble almost unnoticable.

I would also love to find out where all the sensors are located on my engine, as there are so many :P

Not sure what valves you are talking about but id highly recommend an oil and filter change, not to mention fuel filter and air filter. Thats a good start anyhow..

Cheers,

Deren

Hi Deren,

I think all that was done by the importer, as its required for compliance .. I know its got fresh oil, oil filter looks new and so does the petrol filter ..

I was talking more along the lines of cleaning the PCV valve and any other valves which get dirty and clogged over time, I like to do preventative maintenance rather that wait for a problem to arise

    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together

    • It's all about the socialisation of the dogs. In that first 8 to 16 weeks of age they need to be taught to be nice and friendly with everything. That way they generalise it to everything. That said, some days you'll just never beat genetics, but 99% of the time dogs chasing cats is purely lack of socialisation, and then the chasing part can turn into prey drive.
