^^^ Thats some guys Photoshop that he did himself using an Audi concept car base or something.

The current Skyline is called V35. It's a complete generation change, so calling it R35 is incorrect. V36 is the next Skyline (in development) but magazines in Japan admit that V36 is still yet to be confirmed and that the next 2006 Skyline could be known as V35 but have an extra digit or letter eg: VH35, BV35 or something like that.

It doesnt bear enough resembelance to the good looking beasts that preceded it but I still think it's a cool looking car. BTW It's not Photoshop, could be a 3D mock created in 3D max or something but it looks more like a mule or perhaps even a clay model.

Just because the original magazine (Speed was it?) printed it and said it was a photoshop, doesnt mean it was, it just measn the editor was technically inempt and thinks every "graphic" ever made was done in photoshop.

^^^ but hat doesn't mean it real either! Seriously, didn't it ever seem to you that an *uncovered* and almost showroom ready car like that one above breaking cover almost 3 years before it's scheduled release was a bit.. no REALLY strange?

There are pics flying around the 'net of the Audi concept car that that 'R35 GTR' was based on... clear as day. And the (German?) guy who did it has done 4 or 5 other photochops of GT-Rs and other sports cars too.

If thats a real car, you'd see multiple angles of it...just like the GT-R test mule spotted at the Nurburgring. Remeber that? Now THATS real.

the current skyline is the V35. Although what you have pictured is actully the GTR concept.

The G35 is bassically the same car released in the as the V35 released in america. although is not called a skyline and i think has a few differences although i am not sure on this so feel free to correct me.

doesnt mean it wasnt either.....

and it wouldnt be 3D studio max in the first place like you said, coz if it was made up in 3D studio max they'd be able to provide different angles n such.... ( being a 3D program and all ), that photo is definitely a photochop, i've worked with both programs heaps before and its simple to tell the difference.

theres a V35 GTR in GT4.... it guns lol :P

ok, so since the 2 pix i opsted before were the V35 G-R CONCEPT, then can someone post me the pic of The V35? because of what i heard the Skyline V35 is called the Infiniti G35 in North America (that sucks) and as the Skyline V35 in JAPAN.

No no no... listen to me :), you're getting confused by these other guys.

The pics you posted weren't of the 'V35' GT-R concept, they were of the 'GT-R Concept'. There won't be a V35 GT-R per se, but a completely different model seperate from the current (or next) Skyline.

In fact the next GT-R will be a stand alone model marketed as an Infiniti! So the top sports car offered by 'Nissan' will remain the Fairlady (350)Z.

So the current Skyline is the V35?

is this the current skyline (v35)?

V35%20GT-R%20Concept%20top%20rear%20left%20night.jpg

And why are people saying that the Infiniti G35 is the current Skyline?

1) Yes, the current Skyline is the V35

2) No that isn't the V35 above, it's the GT-R Concept.

3)People say that the G35 is the current Skyline because it's exactly the same car, except that the G35 is sold through Infiniti (Nissans upmarket brand) and has different badges and maybe a few minor trim differences... thats it.

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the 2025 build re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I quite rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
