gexiaowen
would brant 3 pt immobiliser + key pad entry work better than my existing 3 point immobiliser?? ie, harder to by pass?? or its just completely waste of $400 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/83311-brant-3-pt-immobiliser-ntry/ Share on other sites
someonestolecc
It's all down to the installation. The key pad is basically another immobiliser controller (i.e. same as having another immobilisation module, just that it's connected to the keypad instead of a key fob). If you don't want to spend the money and your current alarm is installed well I would just add some extra immobilisation tricks. someonestolecc
Not really, although if you can find your alarm module you will probably be able to figure out how many immobilisation points it has. Just look for the wires that head out of it that go out in pairs or are thicker. Or you could trace each one and see if it's spliced in somewhere. arm85
is there any way that you can hook up a similar kind of keypad to that of the brant to a different alarm say a moongoose? if so how? Chris Rogers
arm85, no there isn't a way to do it. if the alarm is fitted properly then you shouldn't need it which alarm is it exactly ( PM me.) gexiaowen, brant are no longer in business, they went into recievership as of may. anything leftover is being sold as is. once its gone there's no more. that said no its no worth the $400. what alarm do you have on it currently? (pm me) if its hidden properly , meaning that a quick look under the dash doesn't show the module. then you shouldn't have to worry about it. put a few hidden switches in if you like.
