4GB memory sticks? shat im having a hard time tryin to get a 1 gb for a decent price.

got the emulators workin as well, they're sweet but lost my beautiful background pik =(, oh wels... back to mario all stars.........

Hahah yeah 1 gigers are going for around $145 & 4 gigers are around $700 - 800 :P I only got a 1 giger & it's not much room when you like to download PSP ISO's :) Ridge Racer is 850mb taking up most my space but it's such a good game it's worth it. Wipeout Pure was only 230 mb which is pretty kool. Once I get like a 2 or 4 gig stick, will load up a few iso on it, music, & tv shows... ultimate portable entertainment device :) Hail the holy PSP indeed.

I'm looking forward to GT4 when they bump up the CPU speed which is currently detuned to 222mhz up to it's designed 333mhz :D

Why arnt they just using 333mhz already then you ask... because it chews through too much battery & they’re still designing a battery to last a reasonable amount of time when running 333mhz all the time.

So PSP graphics are only to get better with a higher active hardware spec to be realised in the near future :)

Yeah the CPU isn't capped at all. The current PSP dev kit that games developers are given allows them to only write a game that will run at 222mhz in order to preserve decent battery life. If someone creates a game and somehow get the cpu running faster Sony will reject it from release.

Once batteries are released that have a life span, Sony will release an upgraded version of the dev kit that will allow people to code for 333mhz.

When running your emulators at 333mhz the battery life wont be too bad because the PSP doesn't need to run the UMD drive, which uses quite a bit of battery power.

well i work at EB Games, and we had a psp long before there sept release. chrystal clear games/movies, decent audio, a few good titles (MC3 dub edition, nfsu rivals etc ;) ) they really have been taking the market by storm.. but..

the only real downside is the fkn loading times.. i mean sure, u cant expect light speed for something that fits into ur hands.. but it can be a real pain in the ass if ur trying to get a race in during slow periods ;) my opinion is ther fkn cool and i would get one if it wasnt for my lack of free time. i only get so much of it and i dont want the majority of it watching a little bar go from left to right...

:)

ridge racer can be dropped down to 500mb easily just by removing the videos.

even less by ripping the muisc..

atm im playing shutokou battle: zone of control, jap highway racing game. (known as tokyo xtreme racer in western countries), pretty good game, its different from skutokou on ps2 as you dont have to drive around looking for races, but you have a new team battle system where you defend and attack different highway territories..

mmm 600ps r34 GTR

    • Thanks mate, couldn't find in VIC, ended up ordering one from NSW, getting rwc to get new plates and registration done.
    • Before all the EFR fan boys come in, have a look at: https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing-and-performance/performance-catalog/turbo/g-series-ii-g30-825-58mm/ It also comes in a T4 1.06 divided housing. I would dare say if you want response & also decent power, this thing would chop.   AND apologies, just re-read your post, you've already bought the turbo... whatever you do, make sure you stick with divided housing and proper twin scroll manifold.
    • People have got to stop doing that. ShatGPT is not a search engine. It is a hallucination factory.   I also would recommend the 1.05. The .83 will "work" for you , in that it will be more responsive, but I think you'll find that it won't be anywhere near as good running it out to 8000rpm as the big housing will be.
    • Decided for the first time ever I would tow my car TO the track day on the same working theory as bringing tools and spares "if I have it I wont need it, but if I leave it behind i will 100% need it" all setup and ready to go out and try these A050 for the first time First session showed I needed to stiffen up the dampers a touch but still managed a few 1:21's without much effort. things were looking good. Came in a dropped the tyres down  to 26/28 as they had gotten to 35/33C from 22C cold The first lap of session two I managed to drop into 1:20's. Then in the second lap into the second session. Coming into T3 and I suddenly lost brake pedal followed by some huge rear end vibrations and scraping sounds. Got it back into the pits after session ended and found this. in the attached video, all of the wobble is in the hub its self, wheel is mint, and bearing feels tight. lKXLqpd - Imgur.mp4   Deciding it was a bent spindle I tried to find bearing/hub assembly locally but was unsuccessful so it was loaded back onto the trailer i luckily brought it on to drag it back home
