Well when i was 16 i was a lil junior working at skippers and i was walking down shepperton rd and thought - when i get my license im going to have a black car with attitude.

I have a dream :)  haha

Despite my mum telling me from a young age that my first car wouldnt be a V6 or V8 i could put that outta my head but thank heavens for dad i had a V6 turbo and learnt to drive mainly on a HSV. With a family like mine u have to be into cars theres no way around it.

ssshhh don't tell everyone there something wrong with it , your trying to sell it.

* it's ok people, it's perfect, nizmo was kidding *

Worked at Skippers, what dept. I gotta couple mates in there.

Brodie , Murray , Steve, Bill , mainly in service side.

Cheers

Ken,

Your a dobber, I'm dobbing on you for dobbing on me:P

Can you sort out a map for this cruise thing, no point in relying on adam, he will only have just arrived, so you should choose a Sunday arvo cruise through the Northern suburbs, ending at a pub for a nice beer.

See'ya:burnout:

Already done it . Refer to my previous posting somewhere in these threads.

As I said , I'm the ideas man , I leave it to the cruise captain to work out the fine details.

Joe , JOE , Damn!! where is that guy when you want him.

oh I know.... York Hospital:lol: :uh-huh:

I'm baccccccccccck

just my luck my day was goin so well until i got a fricken call from nandos just after i picked up my car from the exhaust shop dammit and they starting being lil girls crying for me to come in coz noone else could dammit

so being the good samiritan i am i gave up my free time (actually planned on cruising lol) to go in and help the bastards!

always wanted to say this!--> and thats my 2c

heheh

adrian

vspec(Paul) must admit nice car you got there

i swear i have seen u b4 when i was with my mate in a green soarer ages ago when i had no clue as to who u were!

adrian

p.s this is not double posting lol

i simply forgot :)

tafe+work= bad

exhaust=good

majority rules adrian had a bad day

only with 2 hours or pure goodness lol due to his exhaust hehehe anyways

yes indeedily doodily my car goes much better now!

can feel more power and boost rises bit quicker

only bad point is my car runs a tad to rich

need to invest in a S-AFC better yet i just get a powerfc or sumfin'

adrian :)

Adrian, The GTS-t's always run rich, now without the restriction of the exhaust the higher boost will encourage more fuel to be dumped. Don't bother with an S-AFC if you can do it properly with an aftermarket computer.

Glad your happy, just wait till you do a few more mods, then you'll be over the moon.

See'ya:burnout:

yes indeed

can't wait to get rid of that finaly restriction

that damn dump pipe

has anyone actually heard a screamer pipe?

i heard just getting the normal plumb back dump provides more horsies? sumthin to do with the gases re entereing or some shit

do screamer pipes soundgood?

adrian

Adrian,

Screamer pipes are for cars with external wastegates, like that Evo at Works. For the factory turbo with an internal wastegate your best option is a dump pipe with a separate internal wastegate pipe, joining 20cm or more below the dump, to restrict turbulance.

A sensible conversation and answer in Whoretown.

Next your gonna stop whoring at work and do something constructive:lol:

Don't worry, it will never happen again, what was I thinking. And just the thought of doing something constructive a work sends a shiver down my spine.

    • Hmm yeah that is a good point. It looks like it'll just bolt in with no real issue besides maybe the bushings being different. My other concern was that 2 pin plug that I assume is used in some way to control the rack solenoid depending on the speed signal from the ecu. The DMAX rack doesn't even have that plug though so, don't think it'll matter. Might just order the rack and see how it goes. Will update this when I figure something out
    • I'd say it's a fair bet that the feed and return fluid lines will be in different enough spots that you would need to come up with a way to cut the originals short and adapt with new hard line adaption or braided teflon hoses or somesuch. But really, you have the car, you have the photos of the DMAX rack - you should be able to go out there and see for yourself whether they're in the same or different spots.
    • I've been doing some looking around and honestly was just considering throwing a new rack at it. I saw that the dmax silvia rack bolts up into the 33 with the silvia bushings but not sure if the high pressure lines will sit in the correct spot. I believe other version of the 33 rack are the same/similar to the racks that can be opened up without as much fuss so I assume the dmax rack would fit but any ideas?
    • I've never played with one, but I would expect that you are correct. That slot looks like it is intended to be used to unscrew the end, and the flats on the body would be better than grabbing it around the round bit with a pipe wrench. So, yeah, probably unscrews. You'll probably have to make a tool to drive in that slot.
    • A bit late but A disk S13P fit over stock R32 GTR brakes, usually A disk front, O disk rear works.
