Anyone installed a GPS System from Japan into their Skyline?

I just imported my GTS-4 and it came with a Sony GPS and TV Screen. The local car stereo place said that the equipment was basically useless and won't work here.

Anyone else encounted a similiar situation? Any information would be appreciated?

when cars like this are sent out on geoffs mailing list he always says "can be used with modification" so maybe get a second opinion. it can be used but i dont know how it needs to be changed

GTS-t VSPEC, oil filter. Nissan jammed it under the intake manifold (firewall side) on a east-west engine. Bastards!
