the new new mazda ibuki mx-5 is hell ugly, well it is in my opinion anyway, the front is so plain and simple, but apparently now its got a perfect 50:50 weight ratio, when i drove the older mx-5 SP (the limited release turbo model) it basically flew, the handling was incredible, but now mazda just wrecked one of the best sports cars ever made, <_< but in its place its put the new mazda MPS turbo...*drool*

Yeah the new RX3 is going to be based on the new mx-5 chassis but with a steel roof. And it's gonna have a 13B in it. That'll be so sweet.

Also if anyone has the new motor magazine they have this small section about the new mx-5 versus a boxter at a racetrack and the mx-5 carry's just as much corner speed as the porsche.

Great little car.

The MX5 always had 50:50 balance.

The S2000 is a great car but I could never get over the steering feedback. Honda feel that the electronic powersteering is the way to go, but in a sports car I'm sure drivers want more feedback.

theres a guy here in perth with a N/A 13B in a mx5. checked it out at the drags, the whole engine bay, everything was chromed, looked hell sweet.

unforutnetly he didnt run totally awesome times, i think it was more of a show/cruise car.

A turbo would have fixed his problems.

    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
