Driving to work on the M2 just after the tolls on the M2 heading

East i see this patty wagon with lights and then i see 4 police officers

around a car...

what do i see is apparently a stolen R32 GTR with an aftermaret Cwest Style Wing.

y do i suspect that it is stolen? b/c it had all that power stuff that they used to

finger print it.

looks like that it was used for a joy ride and just dumped there.

i didnt get the plates as i was heading the other direction.

i just wanted to post this up just in case someone here owns it....

so they know where it is

anyone else see it?

Hey hows it going guys.

Yea limmyR33, that was my weapon you saw on the side of the road.

;)

I have it back now, but i also have severe problems. I just imported it and it is the second time its been screwed over. The first time it was broken into in the shipping yard after only being in the country for 3 days, and now the car was stolen from a secure lock up garage.

They have caused a fair bit of damage to her aswell, during the first break in they stole the manual boost guage, disconnecting the HKS valve controller from everything, and breaking the dash. And now this time round they trashed every driver side dsah in the car, and pulled out the ignition barrel and disconnected the turbo timer. So pretty much the whole wiring in the car is screwed.

I took it in to be complied and she was blowing a shitload of brown smoke, i know there could be a thousand things wrong with it, but any one got any idea's what im up against. And some good workshops around the RYDE area or as close as they come, I have a couple of places in mind ( MRC, BEL Garage, etc), but if someone wants to throw me a lifeline of there experience it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx Guys.

there is a place in West ryde.

cant think of the name, hes pretty good, 2 guys I know on here take there cars to him, ill get name and number for you if you like?

i think i know who ur talking about, i think his name is John, his workshop is next to col's body shop and reece plumbing, not far from repco?

if it is then i also recomend him he is very good.

Yea Sl!m,

that would be awesome if you could mate. Thanx.

And Mass IT, yea i was thinking them, my mate from work is Mick's (from MRT) little brother, so im thinking that my best bet, but there WRX'y orientated. I was seeing if i could take it to a place that new RB26's like the back of their ass.

do they, i live around the corner from there. he tunes all my mates and my brothers, rotors too, he is good.

Yea man,

check out there web site.

Nick, who is Mick's brother said that they'll be able to do it for me, but apparently they cost an arm and a leg but i'll see if i can twist his arm.

LOL tell Nick you know me, Mass, and he will laugh and try hook you up. where abouts you live? have u seen nicks brothers car, John the STI, that thing is a weapon...

Nah Nick has shown me photo's of it though man,

dont they have some monster of a kit car they have been working on for drags.

Yea man i'm at work now, Nick just walked out to piss off home to tell his mum to cook him something for dinner, bitching about how only women should be in the kitchen, hahahahah ill tell him ive been talking to you on here man,

Thanx Sl!m & Morgs,

you guys have been awesome,

shall your skylines be forever safe in the area.

And LimmyR33 thanx for the heads up.

yeh, it pushed 320 awkw, on only 12psi, he just fixed his dog box and installed a twin plate clutch, he can up the boost to 20psi and give it a shot of NOS, and aim at a low 10second 1/4 mile. thing is its not laggy at all....

    • Take the value it measured as, and pick the closest range available that is above the reading on the screen.   Also, no point just testing the coils. Read what has been said again. You need to test all your wiring, everything.
    • Does the scanner do all the CUs in the car, or only the ECU?
    • @666DAN sorry to bring you and old thread.     I've got my de+t done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.    Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd when selected . But nothing when in  drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic. I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Do ya have any ideas?     Cheers man
    • Well I recently changed my rear axles and was thinking if I bumped anything, I have been driving the car for a while now though... But it has been raining today so everything is wet under the wheel arches. Brakes feel fine and can't hear any of the metal screamers, I had a squeak coming from one of the handbrake drums but that seems to have gone away a while ago. I was going down a hill when it lit up and I did feel the abs bite for a second and question why it did it?
    • Correct. Um. I dunno. I haven't cared enough about the way that the NA cars work to know for sure. But..... The 33/34 turbo manual cars have an electronic speed sensor in the gearbox that outputs a +/- (ie, sawtooth AC) voltage signal. That is connected to the speedo. The speedo then outputs a 0-5v square wave (ie, PWM) signal that the ECU (and any other CU on the bus) sees. The speed sensor is NOT directly connected to the ECU. So here's the problem. Your new ECU expects to see the PWM signal, but must somehow be getting a direct signal from the diff speed sensor. Which would suggest that the wiring of the NA car is not the same as the turbo cars. I think you will need to spend some time with (hopefully the wiring diagram for the car) and a multimeter to see what is connected to what. Then, presuming I am correct**, you would then want to separate the ECU speed signal input from the rest of the car's wiring, and probably either buy a speed signal converter, or build one using an arduino (or similar). That would take in the speed sensor signal and output a scaled (and suitably rearranged) signal for the ECU. ** We shouldn't presume that I am correct here, because there might be something else crazy going on. I don't think you could convert the speedo to be fed from the gearbox sensor, because the pulse rate from that sensor is probably different to the diff sensor and then the speedo would read wrongly. And this also wouldn't fix the ECU's problem either, because the ECU doesn't want to see the gearbox signal direct either (assuming that they are all on the same wiring, for some odd NA related reason, see above caveat!) Does this help? Probably not. Can you make it work? Almost certainly. With the above work. You should buy a handheld oscilloscope from Aliexpress so that you can view these signals directly. Connect up the probes and drive the car. Show photos of the screen when drving at known speeds and connected to different places, and we'll see what we can learn about it.
