In the r32 stereo install guide it talks about bypassing the standard amp when putting in your new head unit. is that just a matter of cutting the speaker output cables at the back of the head unit and running new wires from the speaker to the back of the head unit to join up to them?

Or is there an easier way where you dont need to run new cables.

Cheers

yeah i'd run new speaker wires... stock wires arent very good.. i'd be using a new earth point too for installing the head unit.. probably only using power antena wire, power wire, and illumination from the old head unit harness

Yah I second that... The stock wires are crap. Its a real pain in the a$$ to run new wires, but its worth it if you are installing speakers that will appreciate the extra 'bandwidth' ;)

If you are just replacing them with dodgey 4"s, dont bother though...
