Ok so as most of you would know that the standard lights in the R32's are not that flash so i was thinking of getting some white night globes.

Now the high beam H3's are not a problem and got them in and a HUGE difference.

Now the low beam H3C's are a little harder as i can't find anyone that stocks them in Australia and if i buy them from JAPAN then it would be $180 to get a set delivered to me. Now i dont know about the rest of you but i thought this was a little steep for globes.

Now i had a couple of options.

1) install a set of driving lights. This is reasonable cheap option but did have its draw backs as well. Mainly being that cause of the intercooler piping it doesn't leave much room which means that the overall size of the DL would be under 600MM and not offer me much more light.

The other problem is the legal issue's and getting booked for DL's as most people do and dont really want the worries of something so stupid for a defect <_<

2) Find another set of globes that will offer me more visiblity at night making it easier to see and still maintain the original set up.

This proved a little harder than expected as the only H3C's i could find were stock replacement globes and would not offer me any more visibilty.

I couldn't find anything over 2000K and couldn't see the sence in paying $50 for stock globes which wouldn't improve visibilty.

3) Obvisouly a HID conversion is the best but very expensive and not what i want to do as i think its a bit excessive for what im looking for.

SO after lots of thought and studying of the globes and the stock head light set up i came up with another option which i think should work and cost about $50 in total for new low beam Blue Vision 4000K globes.

Still not 100% sure if it will and i'll keep all posted.

If anyone has upgraded there globes if you could post up or PM with where you got them that would be appreciated.

Cheers B

i got my H3C globes from autobarn  $50

too easy

RellikZephyr

Stock globes im guessing.

Which is really a waste of time as my stock globes work fine, there just too dull and do not provide enough light.

Thats why i want to get some xenon or white lights globes instead.

Cheers B

yeah  pretty much stock globes

just the ultra blue ones or whatever they called

RellikZephyr

Ok you lost me a little there.

Stock globes are orange/yellow in colour and just the normal 12V 55W.

Meaning no blue tint at all <_<

What was the brand of the globes you got???

Cheers B

panasonic i think but i am just guessing

u know how u can buy like the aftermarket globes

blue ones cause they 50% brighter or whatever

yeah there the ones i got pretty sure they were called Ultra Blue

but i found most of my dull problem was cause i needed to adjust my projector globes

kinda hard to get to at back of light but makes a fair difference

understand?? was a while ago when i bought globes so its stretchin my memory

Oh ok.

Well as the globes are slightly different between the R32's and R33's the main problem i have had is that no one that i have talked to stocks or can get a hold of aftermarket H3C's blue vision 4000K or higher as there is not enough demand for them apparently.

Spoke with Phillips Australia and they wont bring them in, Narva do not have a globe bar the stock one.

there is no way im paying near $200 for globes from Japan :)

I'll figure something out.

Just sucks that im working night shift all week and i need my lights to get home

My car is R32 and they have standard replacement H3C replacement globes but like i already mentioned, i can't see anything with these, hence why i want brighter/white light globes.

Cheers B

well  if you have any luck  let me know

cause if they are brighter  i will go that too

brighter lights always a good thing

Good Luck

RellikZephyr

No problemo

what i have in mind is using H3 4000K Blue Vision and modifing them to suit.
