Depends on your budget..... have you checked the for sale thread? There's a beautiful yellow S2 in Perth for under 25k for sale by a member here on the forums..... unless its sold?

Series 1 - around 20k at car yards, or 18k private

Series 2 - add 5k

Definately do it, I think there are around 6-7 Stagea's here in Adelaide. I went to Qld in July to buy one and brought it back to live in my garage.

And how's this, I think I may have found out that one of the 3 silver Stagea's in Adelaide lives around 200m down the road from me!!!! Whats the coincedence of that?

Good luck with it mate.

Brendan

,8 Nov 2005, 10:54 AM]If you want to import one .... contact VRFour on here.  He's from S.A. ..... and l cannot but highly recommend him for all his work with the importation of my stagea.

Thanks for that what do you think of the prices around as compared to importing.

I thought the new 15yr law would mean that it's harder/impossible to import cars from 97/98?

Budget $20k so probably S1 seen a couple luxuried up (leather) but they seem pretty rare

No, these are on the Compliance plate scheme, as such.

Around $3500 - $4k for the compliancing of the vehicle, depending on what company you get to do the compliance for you, such as Nismo etc.

I thought they were only done in Perth and Brisbane, but I might be wrong.

Hi looking at the moment at trying to bring a Stag down to SA a few that have been hanging around caryards.

Just wondering if there are any ou there privately that people are trying to sell?

BRAZEN`s yellow S2 is the best value atm ..car is priced same if not better than "off the plan"...if yellow is a bit hard its still cheap enough to paint 2 tone ..top half black with pinstipe would look FAT.....s2

Ahh, thats the name I was looking for. Brazen's car looks REAL nice. Good price ready to sell as well.

If you wanted to keep it under 20k, grab a clean condition S1 from QLD and spend a few grand on tuning mods to get the ball rolling.....

If you want to look at a Stagea in Adelaide before buying one PM me.

Good luck!

Brendan

Another one for Brazens car

Mate, for ~25k, you wont import such a good example, plus there is nothing like paying the same day as driving away.

There is SOME excitement with importing, but only at first. Then it turns into anger with delay this delay that (ive imported myself two celsiors before). I bought the stag locally.

So yeh, Brazens! Much better power for std too, wont have to mod it right away.

So you are going to sell it now?

How about that nasty tax man.....?

Oh, and those rims.... :D

 Yeah the tax man still sucks. But its ok, if I declare that the car is worth more to the government then I wont get taxed, but I dont think I will do that unless I can sell the car before it comes time to register it ;) But yes, the tax man is gay :)

Cheers,

Chris

6-7 Stageas in Adelaide!! Jeez, I must be living under a rock! The only one I've seen here getting around is the green one with the white rims on it. Aside from that, a couple in car yards.

Anyway, the offer's there if you want to import. Just PM me.

Thanks to all for the replies greatly appreciated. Obviously a few options for buyers at this point.

Not sure which way to jump Perth & QLD are both a long way away and importing sounds romantic but fraught and u may and may not get what u want plus i've got to convince others with a stake in the show.

Thanks again i will be watching with interest and will be looking out for the Adel Stags.

Shit yeah buy mine! Thanks for the props guys by the way!

I am trying to sell - but not desperate (yet) - havent even advertised it apart from on here and a sticker on the rear window lol.... probably whack in the trading post car mag next week.

Finally found and bought a 1967 1/2 Fairlady Roadster I am having fun with... but need to get a soft-top before it becomes my daily driver - so the Stag still getting me around nicely :(

But yeah - call me RDSA... I am sure we can agree to a price that will more than compensate for the $700 - $900 it'll cost to get it transported to South Australia.

0417 097 178 or email [email protected]

Cheers fellas - hope your all treating your Stags well :(

Adam

    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
