With the recent stolen cars around, esp Skylines, and other hi-po cars used in ram raids crimes, is this a bit of a worry?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...item=2401200685

I know maybe the buyer could be a legitimate locksmith, but what if someone who plans to organise a large car pinching operation?

Just a thought...

I checked the eBay again, and the item is no longer there... maybe cancelled by eBay?? Anyhow, I think selling lock picking equipment (particularly for hi-po cars) to general public are a bit dodgy.

The seller said the "lock jiggler" equipment will open japanese cars like Nissan & Toyota INCLUDING Skylines, 180SX, Supra, MR2....

You name it, any performance imports was listed... I hope it never falls into the wrong hand, especially after a few ram raids in NSW and other states involving stolen cars.....

Wouldn't that kind of auction encourage would-be-car-thieves to buy it and try out their skills??? Since if anyone buys anything on eBay, there's no way to track it or to be sure what the buyer's purpose or motives are.

where i used to work at a mechanics, trucks used to come around selling tools. anyhow one day a truck came around with this long metal ruler look like with an anchore thing on the end of it, basically a flat hook going in both directions(like an anchore) and this was for breaking into cars. One of the guys bought it and tested it out on a taxi which we were fixing and yep! enough said, these have been around for a long time..im not sure how they can get away with making and selling them?

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
