I don't rant often

but it's been one of those days and I've decided it's time.

So here is a small list of the traffic commandments according to Kel (in no particular order), that should not be broken.

I'm sure there are many more that could be added to the list- these are just the ones I've noticed in my 15 min drive to work today (GRRRR)

(1) Thou shall not inch out of side streets, stop and look at the approaching car, then pull out in front anyway .

(Even though I didn't really have to, I locked up the brakes and gave Mum the fright of her life!!! A small win to compensate for a commandment being broken)

(2) Thou shall not park your motorscooter in front of a sports car at the lights, particularly one who has just scored their first pole in the peak hour mayhem, and is ready to zoom

(Kel says: "no look, I guess because you're a distant 'relative' of a super bike, you're very likely to be faster than the Zed taking off" )

(3) Thou shall not drive along at 40 in a 70 zone (does this one even need explaining?)

(4) Thou shall not put your indicator on, and expect the traffic sea in the lane next to you to part so you may come across

(Kel says, "sure I don't mind slowing down - lucky the B-pillar rule doesn't apply in traffic eh?")

(5) Thou shall not pull into the empty left lane in traffic unless you actually have the go to go (another does this even need explanation commandment)

We need 5 more to make the 10..........

Please post so I don't think I'm a nutter

a little bit of decency never hurt anyone but just not to those dicks who zoom pass in merging left lane and expects everyone to part for him just because he's out of room.

Had a dick zooming towards me in the left merging lane and he was running out of room fast put his blinker on and decided to zip in front of me...........thats right bitch.....fat chance......sped up and cut him off REEEEEL good.....made him stop muahahahah

yeah.. I hate it when people go down the lane that is cutting off just cos everyone else infront of them merged over before it got difficult for everyone involved..

9) Thou shalt raise thy hand in a gesture of "thanks" whenst allowed into a lane in front of a fellow motorist...

C'mon world, it really pisses me off to see the lack of common courtesies we must all endure to make up for those (increasing) numbers who are too arrogant/self-important/disrespectful/"good" for everyone else - and not just on the roads...

7) Thou shall use indicators when changing/merging lanes (Some of us "claudes" weren't born with a 6th sense)

Thou shalt use indicators before changing / merging lanes.

Indicators are there to show others you are about to change lanes; trust me when I tell you its quite obvious when you are actually doing it.

I also put my hands up for this one it really sh$ts me when people dont say thanks! And i'll raise this one Thou Shalt not change lanes over the unbroken white line Just before everyone that actually waits till its legal to do so, Thus causing traffic chaos I.E warringah freeway heading towards the bridge where crossing the bus lane is legal for about 200m.....

14 or whatever we are up to. Thou shalt pay attention to the traffic lights and move off when they go green instead of looking in the backseat or staring off into space.

Also, 2 is on the money. While the light is red I beep them and give a jerk of the thumb to indicate where they should go. If they still think they are faster than me they will probably be faster than the car next to you giving you a free lane beside them from about the other side of the intersection which is yours to use then fishy past them scaring the crap out of them and hopefully teaching them that cars are better than bikes.

This works especially well when you are tuned quite rich and can spit black bits of shit and fumes all over them on your way past.

mwahahahahah.

disclaimer - I would never do this in real life. I just putter around in stupor paying no attention to the traffic lights.

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 馃
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
