Thou shalt retain ones lane upon yonder round-a-bout

I'm fed up with entering a 2 lane roundabout with another car, only to have them treat it as a single lane roundabout and have to slam the brakes on to prevent them ramming into my side.

There are lines and arrows on the road, use them!

Thou shalt still give way to the right on a roundabout, and any other traffic already using the roundabout.

F*ck the "new" rules on this one, the old one was fine!

Why do people insist on entering a roundabout - usually in your blind-spot, too - while you attempt to follow the rules and stick to your lane in a mulit-laned roundabout? I've been soooo tempted to cut people off for doing this to me, but I have respect for my car (and the income that bought it and keeps it in good condition).

It's usually some tool in a work ute loaded with tools and three bodies across the bench seat, so not only do they take off at the wrong time (either just before you get to them or just as you get beside them), they don't have the power/brakes/handling to at least get out of your way if you DID choose to cut them off...

Grrrrrrrrrrr... :)

to piss us off ... not to mention scare the shit out of you in the process

i wanna know who gave them their liscence <_<

think that instructor or RTA official needs to be shot

Wow... some interesting interpretations of our road rules. could be made simple with only one.

Give way to the person traveling on the road in front of you or on the road space you want to enter.

And remember who is working, they are quite often bigger than you!

    • I need 2 new pre-cat O2 sensors for the 528. I'd like Bosch but they're all for >9/98 and I'm a lowly 6/98 build. There's not many other options available unless I go cheap Chinese and I'm not keen to do that. Genuine BMW is an option too but they'll likely cost more than the car is worth. Automotive Superstore and Autobarn sell PAT O2 sensors. I know nothing of this brand but they're a little pricey (~$160ea @ AS) and that usually tricks me into thinking something is better than it is Any opinions here? Thanks.
    • How do they go in the rain when flooring it? They sorta look like a semi slick.
    • Contains some of the same waxes that are in the Meg's gold wax anyway. Your car is white? Wax won't make it look "cloudy" enough to worry about it. Just put wax on it and decide if you think it looks cloudy. I would bet you couldn't tell. If you want to follow the paint shop's advice, then you'd be looking to ceramic coat the paint first. Then wax on top of that (although the ceramic coat purists would say that you don't need to wax on top of ceramic - I'm not in their camp). I am of the opinion that ceramic coat should only get put on top of paint that has recently been properly corrected by an expert, or thereafter as maintenance. But wax can be put on anything and keeps the nasties away from the paint and can either be removed easily enough, or comes off on its own over time - unlike the ceramic, which you can have a hard time knowing what condition it is in. Um, what? Fuel stain? On the rear bumper? Please explain.
    • I liked them too, but somehow they were not quite as good as the preceding RS3, and I vastly prefer the Yoko AD09s. Quieter, longer lived, more progressive, damn near as sticky. And they don't howl like the 'Kooks do when they're mostly worn.
